About the clubs
Club Forster and Sporties Tuncurry are run by Forster Tuncurry Memorial Services Club Ltd. It's a company limited by guarantee, and its members elect the board that runs it.
Two clubs,
one community
Club Forster sits at 19 Strand Street in Forster. Sporties Tuncurry is across the bridge at 65 Beach Street. Members can use both, and the courtesy bus runs between them every evening.
Profits go back into the clubs and the region. Over the last year the clubs gave more than $750,000 in cash and in-kind support to local organisations through the ClubGRANTS program.
The club's mission is a first-class social venue for locals and holiday visitors, with good-value meals, modern gaming and entertainment in a friendly, safe family setting.
Fifty years since Club Forster moved to Strand Street, marked with a week of celebrations and Peter Byrne with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performing Neil Diamond's Hot August Night.
Club Forster was inducted into the MidCoast Business Awards Hall of Fame with the Legacy of Community Impact Award.
More than $750,000 in ClubGRANTS cash and in-kind support, including $50,000 to Great Lakes Women's Shelter and $40,000 to Forster Neighbourhood Centre.
Club Forster brings enjoyment to people's lives through our professional and caring approach to service, whilst balancing the needs of today with the opportunities of the future.
